Uniting through data
Our democracy is fracturing. Americans are broadly divided into two psychological hemispheres that correspond roughly to what we call “progressive” vs. “conservative,” “left vs. right” or “blue” vs. “red.” The historical causes of this deep and pervasive division are complex. What matters immediately in America and most of the developed world are social, economic, and political forces that collectively over the past several decades have dangerously riven these two sides of the collective human mind. We are now divided into two fiercely combatant camps locked in a sustained, mutually destructive sociopolitical conflict.
A path forward.
To achieve understanding that can empower effective compromise, deeper insights into the political and social-psychological motivations that animate each side of the political spectrum are needed. The greatest impediment to our ability to be collectively smart is the fact that such mutual understanding is almost entirely lacking in current American political discourse. Therefore, the necessary step we must take is to redouble our efforts to uncover paths for listening to each other and learning from one another. Otherwise, we will not generate the solutions we need to address our shared challenges
“Democracy is never a thing done. Democracy is always something that a nation must be doing.”
— Archibald MacLeish
Our Difference.
Deeply passionate about finding solutions to the precarious state of American Democracy, Project Home Fire brings a fresh and non-partisan perspective grounded in cutting-edge predictive analytics and real-world insight to address one of the most pressing issues of our time.
